Research work featured on BBC Points West News 31 May 2012 in which I’m exploring capturing transient materials, in this example we throw some ice cream pottery, yes a pot made out of ice cream. Using a 360 degree array of cameras I can capture it from all angles as it melts.

The next step is to convert the captured images into a 3D CAD model, machine a mould, and slip cast the result.

Made with amazing ice cream maker Charlie Francis and ceramic artist David Jones.
